As a parent with a premature baby (24 weeks of gestation), I can honestly say that M.E.D.E.K. has done wonders for my little boy. He was diagnosed when he was one year of age with Spastic Diplegia. I took him for regular therapy at HMC. I found him to progress steadily but not as fast as I would like him to. Through the prenatal clinic at The Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto) I contacted Esther Fink and her staff regarding M.E.D.E.K. The progress he was making with M.E.D.E.K. was overwhelming. What he would gain through HMC in one month he would gain with M.E.D.E.K. in a week to ten days. I highly recommend to any parent who wants their child to walk to the best of their ability and as quickly as possible M.E.D.E.K. This note is to express our deep gratitude for what you have done for our son Liam, since beginning treatment with you some 15 or so months ago.

Liam was born at 26 weeks gestation (over 3 months premature) at 880 grams (1 pound, 15 ounces). We felt very fortunate to leave Mt. Sinai Hospital with him almost 4 months to the day later, after a not unusual course in hospital including level 2 intraventricular haemorrhages, Pulmonary Interstitial Emphysema, Necrotizing enterocolitis leading to abdominal surgery, at least one bout of sepsis, several episodes of congestive heart failure, and an infinite number of ups and downs sadly typical of a child born near the extreme end of prematurity.

Several months after being home from the hospital, while at one of his numerous follow up appointments, it was his cardiologist that suggested we get an evaluation by a physiotherapist. Our paediatrician agreed, and recommended the Canadian M.E.D.E.K. Centre^TM, where he entered treatment.

Literally from the first session, we noticed significant changes in Liam's gross motor development, and these changes continued with amazing speed as you took him from not being able to sit-up to being able to walk up and down stairs. Without a doubt, we believe that pursuing treatment with you was the single most important thing we did for Liam after leaving hospital, and we wish we had arranged for an evaluation months before we did.

Consequently, the single best piece of advice we could give to parents of "preemies" is to get an evaluation by a specialized paediatric physiotherapist as soon as practical after leaving hospital, and we recommend without reservation the Canadian M.E.D.E.K. Centre^TM. In fact, we believe the M.E.D.E.K. approach and your expertise in particular is largely responsible for the speed of our son's development.

Going through an experience as deeply affecting as having a very premature infant has put us in the debt of a great many people, and it is always difficult, if not impossible, to adequately express the intensity of our gratitude. Suffice to say, as the weather warms and we drift into summer, we watch our son, healthy and happy, running and climbing in the back yard, and we often think of you.

Ola byla rehabilitowana metoda NDT-bobath regularnie 3 razy w tygodniu od drugiego miesiaca zycia. Trzytygodniowa terapie u Ester Fink rozpoczelismy w styczniu 2009 roku gry córka miala 16 miesiecy i byla dzieckiem lezacym. Efekty byly zdumiewajace gdyz juz po kilku dniach Ester byla w stanie postawic Ole na nogach. Obecnie cwiczymy z nia dwa razy dziennie w domu i sami nie wierzymy w jej postepy. Córka stala sie duzo bardziej kontaktowa , pewniej siedzi, podpiera sie rekami i stoi juz nawet przez kilka minut. Jej polski terapeuta jest zainteresowany ta metoda i twierdzi ,ze dzieki tym cwiczeniom Olga ma szanse chodzic.

Ester to bardzo mila i ciepla osoba, jest bardzo zaangazowana i oddana swojej pracy . Cwiczenia wykonuje pewnie ,z najmniejsza dbaloscia o kazdy szczegól. Jest prawdziwa profesjonalistka .
